Volunteer Event Assistant

Samphire is looking for a Volunteer Event Assistant to assist with the Dover Together Multicultural festival. The Dover Together Multicultural festival is an opportunity for Dover to come together to celebrate diversity within the community. It is our opportunity to showcase the rich variety of food, dance, music and culture that make up Dover. The event will be held in Pencester Gardens in the heart of Dover where last year, over 700 people attended.

We encourage local schools and businesses to get involved, providing workshops and delivering performances. The Event Assistant will be expected to help facilitate these workshops and performances. If you are unable to make the event we would still encourage you to apply for the role to support in the pre planning of the day.

Samphire’s mission is to improve the lives of people released from immigration detention and experiencing destitution in the UK, and to support the development of well-informed, cohesive and divers communities in the Dover area and beyond.

Events are an important part of Samphire mission as they provide an opportunity to engage with the public to meet our aims and objectives through raising awareness.

This year the Event will be held on 30TH of June 2018 12pm-4pm Pencester Gardens, Dover.
